How to pull your bobbin thread through your material

Wow, what a long title!  Okay so I kept reading that you should pull your bobbin thread up to the top of your material while quilting.  Great idea because sometimes it gets sewn down and is a mess to fix.  The only problem was trying to figure out how to do it.  I know, I know - you are probably thinking "But that's easy".  Well I have a bit of a hyperactive mind (and mouth, and lifestyle - I'm just hyper) and am kind of slow on the "common sense" stuff.  So just in case some else is like me, I thought I would share a short tutorial with ya'll.  I even did a short video which is a lot easier to understand!
(click on the arrow button on the left bottom side)
Please excuse the shakiness of the video, I was trying to hold my cell phone and record and talk and demonstrate at the same time.  I'm multi-talented!  I'm surprised Pippi wasn't up there "helping" me!
Position your needle where you want to start.
Put your needle down.
Then pull it back up and it will have a hold of the bobbin thread, but you won't see the bobbin thread yet.
Grab a hold the top thread and pull up as far as you can.
I use a crochet hook to grab the loop of the bobbin thread.
Pull the bobbin thread out, just like when you are pulling the bobbin thread up out of the bobbin casing.
Grab both threads and hold out to the side.
Lastly put both threads under the foot, to the side and out of the way.  You are now ready to sew!
Did you see my finished quilt?  Go here to see it!

I hope this tutorial helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask!
Tomorrow is sewing circle at my friend Joeann's house, my goal is to sew up four capes for my friend and her three girls.  What projects are you working on right now?
Thanks, Missy
