I really did not think I would have to write this post so soon. five months ago, my Uncle Johnny Hobgood was diagnosed with throat cancer. I felt the Lord telling me that we needed to make him a prayer and several of ya'll sent me blocks to help. He passed away on Friday, September 26 and the funeral was Monday, on my sister's birthday, the day before mine. I was not able to go to the funeral.
Here is the quilt on his bed:
Pray that the quilt will now be a comfort to his wife, my Aunt Debbie.

Missy
Please accept my sympathy on the loss of your uncle. I am sure your quilt meant so much to him. I make comfort quilts for cancer patients, albeit very slowly. I have had family members relay to me how much the quilts meant in the last days.
ReplyDeleteOh Missy I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.

ReplyDeleteHugs and prayers Missy. My uncle who was diagnosed around the same time yours was passed away September 18th. His father had cancer too and had passed away 18 days before him. Our prayers are with you, your Aunt, and the rest of your family.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. I'm sure he enjoyed every minute with the quilt you made for him and your aunt will continue those memories.
ReplyDeleteMissy, so very sad to hear this. Praying for your family--especially your Aunt Debbie--as y'all mourn.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this but so glad you were able to get the quilt to him and your aunt will have it to keep her warm now. Sending prayers for the family.
ReplyDeleteOh Missy, such sad news. I'm sure the quilt was a comfort to him and will now be a comfort to your aunt. It's a wonderful thing that you had help from others to make the quilt. Praying for your family.
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, but, glad you made him the quilt, and that the quilt can now give comfort to your aunt in her grief.
