Vintage Quilts

Our local town, Ava, MO i participating in "2500 Miles of art and Culture" in Missouri.  Douglas County was the first to volunteer!  We have had all kinds of things planned, one of them with the Ava Art Guild is having a photography showcase with the theme "Faces of the Ozarks".  They are also having a mini quilt show of Vintage Quilts with two of my vintage quilts being displayed.  The first two are mine.

These next quilts belong to other people.

A friend in my quilt guild, Sheila Alcorn, made this next quilt to showcase the Ozarks.

Just for fun, I wanted to share a quilt my friend Joanne made that she shared with me while I was there.

Just a reminder that I am co-hosting a Treadle On Gathering and Academy "TOGA" on June 22 and 23  in Ava, MO at the Douglas County Veteran's Memorial Assocition Building.  You can find more information on my previous blog post and on Facebook under Missouri T.O.G.A.

Have you ever been to a Toga?

  1. I just LOVE vintage quilts. Your two are very pretty. I only have one that I inherited from my great grandmother's home after she died. It is in disrepair and I just love to pull it out and look at it from time to time.
