I want to share some of the vintage machines that were at the TOGA!
A TOGA originated with Treadleon.net when fellow hand crank and treadle sewing machine users wanted to get together and share their machines and learn more about them. It is called a Treadle On Gathering Academy because we gather together and learn a lot of stuff. It is a lot of fun! We will be having another Missouri TOGA next year. I will try to schedule it for the weekend after Father's Day again in 2019. This seems to work out pretty good for me since I am a teacher and am off work for the summer.

Missouri TOGA
We had our very first Missouri TOGA! I think it was success and had a lot of fun. This was my first time to be the one to put it on and I realize that did not leave me much time for sewing and enjoying the classes, but that is okay because I still learned a lot and had a blast! I made a lot of new friends and confirmed what a great little town I live in. Everybody was flabbergasted with how friendly a town I live in (Ava, MO) and what a great quilt shop and Farmer's we have.
We had a lot of demos and mini classes and spur of the moments lessons.
We had a pre-TOGA field trip to Sweet Nellie's in Mansfield, MO and the Laura Ingall's Wilder museum. I need to start planning next year's field trip!
We finished the day with a raffle/auction!
I think that is enough pictures for today. I will share the quilts and machines tomorrow!
