80's Flashback!

A friend ordered a baby shower cake for a couple of ladies at work.  I was not happy with how the colors or my writing turned out.  It does not seem to matter how long I practice, I cannot get a smooth top either.  Sigh.  At least the cake was good, I just used the recipe for a white cake out of my old Better Homes and Garden cookbook.
We had 80's day at school.  I actually had teenagers tell me I looked awesome!  LOL
I had a second grader who could not understand why I tore up a shirt.  I hope she does not go home and try to copy me!
I have a prayer request for ya'll.  They found a mass on or by my left ovary and a cyst on my right ovary.  They did a cat scan on Thursday and I meet with a specialty doctor on Wednesday in Springfield.  He is a gynecologist/oncologist/surgeon.  The mass is 5 1//2 inches x4x3 1/2.  If ya'll will please pray for me and the results I would appreciate it.  I'll be surprised if I do not have to have surgery to remove it.  I won't get any results from the cat scan (which cost more then what I make in two years at school!) Wednesday.

Did you grow up in the 80's?  I turned 16 in September of '89.

Missy

I graduated in 1984 - the clothes are still so vivid in my mind, LOL.

You will be in my prayers. Please keep us posted. Hugs!

While I can honestly say I was growing up in the 80's, I'm still growing up. :)

Please keep me posted about your tests and whether surgery is needed. I had this surgery done ages ago, for about a similar size cyst. My heart and prayers go out to you. Be positive as this is more common than many of us are led to believe.

You were rockin' the 80s! I was a young newlywed in the early 80s, but had kids by the late 80s. Sending prayers for the best outcome!

My prayers go out to you for a successful outcome. I have to admit, I did not grow up in the 80s, more like I grew "out" - both of my girls were born in the 80s. :)

Yes I was growing up in the 80's, I graduated HS in 82. Still love that music but not the "mall bangs"...LOL.

You are in my thoughts and prayers and I will continue to pray for the best outcome for you.

Warm Hugs,
Kelly

Hugs and prayers. I graduated in 82, and started raising my family in the 80's. Your cake looks gorgeous. I have tried all the tips about making my cake flat, never works.

You've nailed it with the bright yellow fabric, orange socks and big hair. Your cake looks great, too. All the best for your results. Hugs xxx
