Missouri T.O.G.A.
I have been very silent on here lately. I have not had any time to do any sewing, I've been in a funk, but I plan on changing that today!
I have started full time tutoring again, a fifth grade boy.
I am also planning a TOGA! A TOGA is a treadle on gathering academy where vintage machine loving friends get together and talk machines and sewing! It is free and will be June 22nd and 23rd in Ava. MO. We will have a field trip the day before on Thursday to Mansfield, MO to see Laura Ingalls Wilder's Home, Rocky Ridge (They even have her treadle!). We will eat lunch at Sweet Nellie's Ice Cream Parlor before the field trip. If you are interested in coming let me know!
Podunk Pretties designed the logo for me!
Cheryl's Teapots 2 Quilting is helping me to plan the TOGA and will also be there.
We are planning demos and mini classes for the TOGA. I'm hoping someone will want to do a mini class on a sewing mat with pockets that goes under the machine. I really want to make one but know I never will unless I do it as a class. LOL
I will be be demoing the ruffle foot and Cheryl will demo how to convert a machine to a handcrank and another lady will be demoing how to lean a vintage machine.
If you would like to join the Facebook group, here is the link:

If you are not on Facebook, there is also a Yahoo Group. I hope you can come!
We also have a raffle quilt that Nancy Yeomans made for us. It will help to go towards the cost of the TOGA.
It was pieced on a 1948 Singer model 201-2. It was quilted on a 1920 Singer model 31-15.
It’s a good throw size - 67” x 78”
Raffle tickets are $1 or 6 for $5. You can purchase tickets if you are not coming to the TOGA but I really hope you do come!
Thank you to all my friends who are still with me!

Well there you are! I've been wondering where you were. Glad you are back and best wishes with your TOGA!
Good to see your post....I had been wondering if you were still out there and glad to see that you are! The TOGA sounds like fun....someday I will have to plan on going to one......
I've made at least a dozen different sewing machine mats, with pockets, for a Holiday party for one of my quilt guilds, and for me. Simple. I can work up a pattern (I just do it by the seat of my pants, or for different size machine bases). Let me know. I can even bring several different ones (many with matching pin cushion thread catchers).
