Demos from the TOGA

We had several demos at the TOGA also.
Margaret showed us how to make a simple chicken pin cushion only using 2 1/2 squares.  My cats decided mine was the right size for a cat toy.  Sigh.
Lisa demoed how to rewire a chain stitcher.

Kay showed us how to make a simple, no waste flying geese.  I have not had a chance to make mine yet.

Sue demoed an exploding pineapple block.  It took a few minutes for me to understand how to make it, but I think it will be a fun block.  She said you have to have two fabrics that greatly contrast for it to look right.  This would be a great red and white quilt!

Mary Lou did a precision piecing demo and shared some of the tools she liked.  Here she is with the Angler.
This is my "oh, I get it now" look.

Here she is showing us how she finds her 1/4 inch block.

This is great seam guide she uses.

Sharon demoed binding on her machine (a Pfaff treadle).
This was a really cool hot bowl holder.  I am going to make these for Christmas presents!

There were more demos, but I missed a couple.  I can't wait to share a couple of others, but they get their own posts!  I wanted to apologize again for the cell phone pics.  I still have not found the camera charger.
I wanted to thank every one who took their time to teach us something new!

I've been wanting to make one of those cute little chicks ,moving it up on the list! I've made the microwavable bowl holders. Love'em! I've sold several sets(calling them B-Holders) over the last couple of years and gave them as gifts also.

I have the angler, but, I've never, ever tried it.

I missed the exploding pineapple demo, but I do have the squares cut out. I hope I can figure it out for myself.

I love my little chick pin cushion. You can make some and add cat nip for the kitties!
