I got my block for the Sew Sweet Bee done at the very end of the month. It is actually a mint green, it is kind of color washed on my carpet. This block went to Heather at Vintage Grey http://vintagegreyhandmade.blogspot.com/ It is a reverse shoofly, you can get a tutorial here at Donna's Lavender Nest.

I'm almost done with sewing it on, the blanket stitch takes forever. I just have the E and 66 left.
Oreo is not being much help either.
I finished the backing.
I made the label using printable cloth sheets.
I put a picture of our wedding and a recent picture of us on Route 66, since that is the theme of the quilt. I said "Just as we have traveled Route 66 together, we have spent the last 20 years together traveling God's Road.
I'll get the sandwich done today, hopefully Chris hurrys up and goes out to the garage so that he doesn't see the quilt since it is supposed to be a surprise!
I'm making binding for three quilts this weekend, since Chris will be home all weekend I won't get much work done on the quilt. I can't decide if I want to do a crosshatch quilting or scallops.
Have a great fourth of July weekend!

Nice to make your hubby a quilt. Sorry he's home and it's harder to keep it a surprise. Does he read your BLOG? My Dh reads mine, no secrets here.
Love how your quilt is turning out.
Almost done. Great job.
Oh Oreo - ever the bestest helper. LOL. I hope you made lotsa progress this weekend!
