Antique Quilt

I won an old quilt top at a raffle.  I am very excited about it and one day plan on finishing it.
For right now it is hanging in my quilting room.
I love looking at all of the old fabrics in it. I have no idea how old this quilt is.
You can tell she just used whatever she had and did not pay any attention to what "matched"
I'm pretty sure there a feed sacks and material from the 50's maybe?

I was thinking the red and blue below was 50's or 60's
But is that blue on the left 30's?  and the white looks like feed sacks?

My husband does not like scrappy quilts like this, but I told him it was a part of history!

Any clues about my quilt you want to share?

Missy

Oh what a treasure! Not sure about the age of the fabrics either, but they are interesting. They could all be brand new fabrics and I still love it, but I'm a scrappy lover. Congrats on your win!

Great quilt. There are also feedsacks in there from the 20's, 30's and 40's. My ex hubby's mother handed me a box full of quilting stuff when his grandmother passed away and in it were about 20 maple leaf blocks made from feedsacks which she had made from when she was in her teens. I made a quilt from them and gifted it back to my ex MIL.

I love the scrappy look! Too bad the person who took all the time to make this top is unknown.

WOW!!! What a treasure trove of fabrics! Congratulations on becoming the new owner of this wonderful quilt top. Can you imagine piecing all those Y-seams!? It's quilts like these that allow folks like Darlene Zimmerman and others to reproduce the fabrics we love. I'd love to have some of those pieces to add to my stash, especially the little pink and blue cat and dog piece in the next to last photo. It's so sweet!!!

Hope you are having a great day.

Fun top, congratulations. I don't think any of those fabrics date later than the 50's. Have fun quilting it.
