Why I Sew on a Treadle

I got to thinking about how people always ask me why I use a treadle instead of an electric to make my quilts.  I sat down and wrote this.

Very nice. Also how about for those times when you can't have an electric one? Like camping. Yep my hubby loves the hand crank. He always is playing with it as he walks by.

How sweet! I have a treadle and need to take some time and clean it up. It works and I do have a belt for it.

I love how you equate the moving of the treadle to dancing. Lovely metaphor!

I agree with Shelley, I love the dancing analogy. Thanks for sharing on the Thursday Blog Hop!!

Missy I absolutely love your poem, especially "She sewed the music of her heart into the quilt she made for those she loved"
Treadling is fun isn't it and soothing too!

Missy!
I happened upon your blog here while looking for just the right wording for my sewing labels. I also sew only on treadle sewing machines, and I absolutely love that you do, too!
I'm going to share your poem on my blog/Facebook! The background quilt on your page is absolutely stunning, by the way!
