Cross Stitch Nativity

I wanted to share this sweet Nativity my mom made for me years ago.  I love it.  I picked the manger up at a yard sale for like 50 cents at the same time.

My mom does cross stitching and I do quilting!  I have some blocks that she cross stitched for me years ago that I need to quilt.  They need to be washed, any suggestions on how to do that?

I think Wendy Gratz at ShinyHappyWorld had instructions on how to wash and press embroidered pieces, but I can't find it right off. I bet you can contact her though. She's real nice about answering questions.

Very pretty. I am going to assume they are stuffed which adds a bit of a difference. My cross stitch pieces I would wash with lukewarm water and I always used a bar of ivory soap. Wash until the dirt and dust comes off then rinse under lukewarm running water until all the soap is out. Lay flat on a towel and roll up squeezing slightly. Dry flat. After dry you can hit with a dry iron on the back or with a pressing cloth in case there are specialty threads.
